'Originally from Spain, I have lived in Edinburgh since 2002. I am a qualified teacher in English Literature and have studied Production and Technical Theatre. It has been 10 years since I joined the National Galleries of Scotland, and I still love working here. What I like about working for the Galleries is that I am constantly learning new things. It’s a very inspiring place and my colleagues are all amazing and wonderful characters.

I don’t have any training in fine art, I get my ‘arty’ flare from my family. Photography is one of my many passions. I don’t have high level technical skills but I love
that ‘phoneography’ has made photography more accessible. Some people might not see this medium as a proper form of art, but I disagree. Behind all that
