Plan a visit
Groups of 10 or more adults can book guided tours or self-led visits to view the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions.
Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more visiting ticketed exhibitions.
Community and access groups can comprise fewer than 10 people. They can book free guided tours or self-led visits, including free exhibition entry.
Please give at least two weeks' notice for a self-led visit and four weeks' notice for a guided tour.
All our tours are led by experienced art educators.

The National Galleries of Scotland comprises three galleries.
Scottish National Gallery project
The Scottish National Gallery project will create brand new, light-filled spaces for the Gallery’s unrivalled collection of Scottish art.
While this work is underway we are not taking group bookings at the Scottish National Gallery. The Gallery remains open and you can find out how construction work might affect your visit.
Choose from a range of hands-on Discovery sessions, interactive workshops and online learning resources to bring art to life for you and your pupils, whatever their age and abilities. If your pupils have additional needs we'll plan a tailor-made visit just for you.
Meet with our curators and expert conservators to create bespoke experiences including gallery tours or informative talks that are entirely unique to our venues.
