Group Visits

We look forward to welcoming all types of groups to the galleries to enjoy our collections, exciting programme of temporary exhibitions and education programmes.

We define a group as 10 or more persons. If booked in a group can take advantage of discounted entry for paying exhibitions and gain valuable advice in the coordination of a visit.

For all group bookings, we require at least two weeks’ notice for a self-guided visit and at least four weeks’ notice for a guided tour or workshop.

All guided tours are 1 hour long and schools workshops are either 2 or 2.5 hours.

Guided tours and workshops are delivered by a team of highly experienced guides.

For guided tours round temporary exhibitions, the price will include the tour cost and entry to the exhibition. The exhibition ticket sales are charged at the relevant ticket desk on the day of your visit.

We can invoice you after your guided tour or workshop month for the guided tour or it is possible for us to handle cash or cheque payments through the freelancer guides on the day.

If you require further guidance in coordinating your group visit, please email or phone the Education Bookings Coordinator on 0131 624 6410.

Please note there are periods when the team is very busy. We very much appreciate your patience and we will respond to you as soon as we can.
