Eduardo Paolozzi
Poster, from As Is When
About this artwork
This is the poster for Paolozzi’s first major print series, As Is When. Made using the same screenprint method, on a lighter paper, it is as much a work of art as the prints themselves. The suite of twelve screenprints, made between May 1964 and May 1965, takes the writings and life of German philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein (1889–1951) as the jumping off point for an explosion in colour and pattern.
