Creative journal competition by @InspiringJournals in association with the National Galleries of Scotland.

We were looking at collage in all its forms this summer. And creative, art or junk journaling (or scrapbooking) is a brilliant and engaging evolution. Check out @kia.creates' and @mygreencow’s works on our Instagram channel to see what we mean.

To celebrate our wonderful collage exhibition, @inspiringjournals ran an Instagram-based competition with the prize provided by the National Galleries. The lucky winner was chosen by @inspiringjournals to receive the fantastic merch below.  

How people entered (this competition is now closed):

1. Create an art journal spread with a collage theme (use any mixed media at all)
2. Post it to Instagram and use the hashtag #CutandPasteContest and tag @inspiringjournals and @natgalleriessco so @InspringJournals can locate your post
3. Competition ends midnight September 22nd 2019, posts shared after this date will not be considered

Competition Terms and Conditions:

1. The promoter is: Kia Hunt who runs @inspiringjournals Instagram page, in association with the Board of Trustees of the National Galleries of Scotland whose registered office is at National Galleries of Scotland, 73 Belford Road, Edinburgh, EH4 3DS. National Galleries of Scotland is a charity registered in Scotland (No. SC003728). 
2. The competition is open worldwide. Entries must be posted to Instagram within the competition time frame and contain all of the following in the caption: #CutandPasteContest; @InspiringJournals; @NatGalleriesSco
3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
4. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

6. This competition is being run on Instagram.
7. Closing date for entry will be midnight of September 22^nd. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
8. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
9. In addition to other requirements in these terms and conditions, entries must: i. not contain anything unlawful, misleading, discriminatory or defamatory and ii. not contain otherwise inappropriate or indecent content.

Competition ends midnight September 22^nd 2019, posts shared after this date will not be considered.
11. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
12. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
13. The prize is as follows: 2 x Design for Wrapping Paper by Edward Bawden gift wrap (single sheet); Cut and Paste 400 Years of Collage exhibition book (paperback); ‘The Collage Ideas Book’ by Alannah Moore (paperback); Coco Chocolatier chocolate; Tote Bag; Eduardo Paolozzi Postcard Pack; Skull scissors.
15. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
16. Winners will be chosen by independent adjudicator Kia Hunt.
17. The winner will be notified by direct message on Instagram and will need to provide a postal address. If the winner cannot be contacted, does not provide these details or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
18. The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize is delivered.
19. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
20. Entrants warrant and represent that they own all rights (including without limitation copyright) in entries and that entries do not infringe any third party rights. By submitting their entry, entrants grant to the promoter a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to publish their entry on the promoter’s website and social networking sites, in store and in any other promotional material whatsoever throughout the world.
21. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
22. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Scottish law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
23. The winner agrees to the use of their name and username in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
24. The winner’s name will be available 28 days after closing date by emailing the following address: [email protected]
25. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
26. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or any other Social Network. You are providing your information to Kia Hunt (of @InspiringJournals) and the National Galleries of Scotland and not to any other party.
