About this artwork
This picture is made up of two photographs, to show the man himself and his context . The first is that of the ecologist and conservation worker, Dr Adam Watson, taken in the Cairngorms. The second is a view of the same place after snow had fallen, seen from the photographer's light aircraft in flight. Adam Watson's research in the Scottish Highlands has proved useful to our understanding of climate change. He has always been passionate about issues to do with the environment and mountain areas in particular.
