Dundee-born Brian Cox is a hugely successful actor, both on stage and in Hollywood. Aged fourteen he joined the Dundee Repertory Theatre and then enrolled at the London Academy of Music and Drama, graduating in 1965. Following several years working in theatre, Cox made his first TV appearance in 1967 in The Prisoner. His career has since focussed on film and stage. In the 1980s and 1990s he worked for the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre, winning critical acclaim for many of his performances. Cox often plays villains and is perhaps most famous for his roles in Braveheart, Troy and The Bourne Supremacy. He is also involved in the video game industry and has lent his voice to the Kill Zone series.
