The 'Castlemilk Lads' is one of Marzaroli's best known photographs. Shot on one of the growing housing estates on the outskirts of Glasgow during the 1950s, it speaks of a city altered by town planners beyond all recognition. The provocative stare of three of the boys and the angst of the one looking away, give us a clear idea about the unfriendly environment which they inhabit.
