Reverend Robert Walker wooden postcard

Reverend Robert Walker by Sir Henry Raeburn wooden postcard

Beautiful colour illustrated wooden postcard with Reverend Robert Walker (1755 - 1808) Skating on Duddingston Loch by Sir Henry Raeburn from the National Galleries of Scotland Collection.

A member of the Edinburgh Skating Society and minister of the Canongate Kirk this skater is thought to be Reverend Robert Walker. Who looks effortless, but this pose would have been recognised by fellow skaters as a difficult and sophisticated manoeuvre. This painting of the Reverend, showing a figure in action, is quite unlike other known portraits by Sir Henry Raeburn.

Printed in the UK by the Wooden Postcard Company who only use FSC certified wood for their products which is durable and comes with a printed postcard back.
