Classic traditional silver ornate frame of Reverend Robert Walker (1755 - 1808) Skating on Duddingston Loch by Sir Henry Raeburn, from the National Galleries of Scotland Collection. This art print is beautifully presented and ready to hang on your wall.

Frame size 34 x 29 cm, image size 13 x 10.8 cm plus white border, printed on museum fine art paper 280gsm, a gently textured etching paper particularly suited to giclee reproductions of artworks and paintings, ideal for premium colour and monochrome print.

Reverend Robert Walker was minister of the Canongate Kirk and a member of the Edinburgh Skating Society, the oldest skating club in Britain. The members usually met on the frozen lochs of Duddingston or Lochend in Edinburgh.

Scottish artist Sir Henry Raeburn lived in London and spent some time in Italy but returned to Edinburgh in 1787. Raeburn depicted some of the most popular and relevant people of his day, from Sir Walter Scott to William Stuart Forbes.
