What do you desire from dance? Something innovative, exciting and inspirational?

What do you think of when you look at art? How does it make you feel?

Earlier this year, National Galleries of Scotland Education and Scottish Ballet Education, presented Desire, an innovative performance event created by talented students and unveiled as a public performance at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art One.

Choreographers from Telford College BA course collaborated with dance students from Broughton High School to create and design original performances. Each performance was inspired by the themes of Scottish Ballet’s A Streetcar Named Desire and The Sculpture Show exhibition.

Broughton pupils performed their individual pieces throughout the day to a public audience, in direct response to their chosen artwork.
