Patrons

The Patrons of the National Galleries of Scotland share our enthusiasm for art, fondness for the national collection and our commitment to ensure that its quality is maintained for future generations to enjoy.

The encouragement and dedication of our Patrons enables the National Galleries of Scotland to realise many new possibilities. Our Patrons are encouraged to develop a close relationship with the National Galleries of Scotland based on their own individual interests in the work that we do. Their generosity has enabled The National Galleries of Scotland to acquire over 1,300 individual items, including paintings, drawings, prints, sculpture and photography for the national collection. Additionally, the Patrons provide vital support with funding for special exhibitions and major projects, such as the upcoming Scottish National Gallery Project which will completely transform the display of the world’s greatest collection of Scottish art.

We invite our Patrons to support us by giving an annual donation. For individual membership we ask for a minimum donation of £500 per year, and for joint membership* a minimum donation of £750 per year. Gift membership for a friend or loved one is also available. Without such philanthopy we would not be able to grow the national collection or provide so many ways to engage our visitors.

We are delighted to invite you to join and help share and shape our vision for the future.
