Become a Friend

Friends subscriptions support the National Galleries of Scotland’s extensive programme of exhibitions, free displays, education work, conservation and acquisitions. The Friends have also supported the Art Cart in the National Gallery and Bags of Art in the Gallery of Modern Art for many years and we hope into the future. In return Friends have the opportunity to take advantage of a special insight into the collection and access to Gallery staff and curators.

Gift Aid

Gift Aid

Gift Aid allows the National Galleries of Scotland and the National Galleries of Scotland Foundation to claim basic rate tax relief on your donation from the taxman, increasing the value of your donation significantly at no cost to you.

Find out more about gift aid.

I would like the National Galleries of Scotland and the National Galleries of Scotland Foundation to treat all donations I have made to the Galleries in the previous four years and all the further donations as Gift Aid Donations, until I notify you otherwise.

You must be paying an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax that the National Galleries of Scotland reclaims on your donation in the tax year (currently 25p for each £1 you give).
