Thank you for shopping with us. All payments, whether for a product, a book, an exhibition ticket, a membership or a donation, directly support the activities of the National Galleries of Scotland.
100% of all profits supports the National Galleries of Scotland.
Online Shop purchases, including exhibition tickets
The following terms and conditions apply to all orders made through this website’s online shop.
By placing/completing an order you will be deemed to have accepted these terms.
All products are subject to availability and we may withdraw products at any time.
We reserve the right to change prices from time to time, but the price quoted when you place your order is the price you will be charged.
Please note that no amendments can be made either to the goods ordered or customer details once an order has been placed.
Once an order has been confirmed we are unable to cancel orders.
Stock availability will be checked once we receive your order; if for any reason an item is not in stock when your order is placed, we will inform you prior to processing your order, or refund your purchase for those items which are not in stock. If you would like to make a substitution at this point, or await the line to come back into stock we will be delighted to assist you.
All sizes and measurements are approximate.
UK VAT is quoted in the price of the product.

National Galleries of Scotland Trading Company offer/discount codes
Any National Galleries of Scotland Trading Company offers or discount codes will exclude Limited/Artist Editions, Tickets, Memberships and Print on Demand unless otherwise stated.
Promotional codes must be entered in the correct box at checkout to receive any offer being promoted.
Discounts will not apply to any orders placed by telephone
Offers and discounts are subject to stock availability.
Promotion codes entitle you, at the time of ordering, to a saving on a new order placed with National Galleries of Scotland Online Shop. National Galleries of Scotland Online Shop reserves the right to decline to accept orders where, in its opinion, a promotion code is invalid for the order being placed.
Promotion codes are only valid for a limited period of time. The expiry date will be publicised with the relevant promotion code. Only one promotion code can be used per order.
Promotion codes are not valid in conjunction with any other promotion

Postage and Packing
Please note that 100% of profit from the Online Shop goes to support the National Galleries of Scotland. However to make our prices as fair as possible we do not make any profit from the Postage and Packaging charges.
Exhibition tickets purchased online will be dispatched standard post to arrive within a week of your order. Any tickets required within 8 days should be collected from our tickets desks. Please telephone 0131 624 6494 for this service.
Orders to all UK addresses will be dispatched standard post. Subject to stock availability we aim to deliver to most UK addresses within 7 working days of receiving your order. This is subject to any local postal service stipulations.
Delivery to addresses outside the UK will be dispatched by air on a special delivery service; this includes insurance up to the value of £250. A signature will be required on receipt of delivery. Subject to stock availability we aim to deliver to most International (Europe and rest of World) addresses within 14 working days of receiving your order. This is subject to any local postal service stipulations.
Some orders will require a courier service, the product entry page will advise if the item requires the order to be couriered and the customer will be notified of this form of delivery.

The National Galleries of Scotland will not be responsible for any local duty and or taxes on goods delivered to addresses outside the UK, and you should pay these directly where applicable.
Any orders taken by telephone will be subject to the same postage and packing prices and terms.

Undeliverable Items – should an order be returned to us because it has not been collected or signed for and if the order is still required, an additional postage fee of the same value as the first postage fee will apply.

Christmas 2016 Last Posting Dates for online shop purchases
To ensure you receive your online order in time for Christmas 2016 please see our guide for postage dates.
We also have a great selection of gifts for art lovers, including art prints, jewellery, and art books at our Scottish National Gallery shop, located at the Gardens Entrance of the Scottish National Gallery Complex.
We cannot guarantee delivery by 24th December 2016 for any orders for UK addresses received after Sunday 18th December. Any orders placed after 10am on 21st December 2016 will be posted out after the 4th January 2017.

If for any reason you are not totally satisfied with your order you may return it to us (unused and it its original packaging, with all relevant documentation) within 28 days of delivery.
The National Galleries of Scotland will refund the value of goods returned (excluding delivery costs) within 28 days of receipt of the return, without further charge to you. We will not refund the costs of returning the goods.
However, should an item be faulty – it will be replaced at no extra charge.
Ear-rings for reasons of hygiene are non-refundable.
This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights which remain unaffected.
Please note that items returned do not become responsibility until received by our mail order department. We recommend that the goods are returned by a recorded delivery service.

Carry Bag Charges
In accordance with The Single Use Carrier Bags Charge (Scotland) Regulations we charge 10p for single use carrier bags provided in our shops.
Proceeds generated from this charge will be used to support The National Galleries of Scotland Foundation No. SC043024. The Foundation supports the important work of the National Galleries of Scotland and is an independent body for fundraising. All income generated by the Foundation is used to support the work of the Galleries.
Gift Vouchers purchased online are not redeemable for cash.
To be redeemed at the National Galleries of Scotland shops.
Gift vouchers are not valid online, memberships, cafes, tickets or at prints.nationalgalleries.org.
If redeemed for less than the amount shown, it may be used for the residue amount at another time. Only if the residue is less than £1 will change be given.
The Gift Voucher will be valid for one year from the date of purchase.
We will be adding online gift vouchers at some point if you would like to be updated please sign up to our ebulletin to be notified when these will be available.
Entry to any of our paid exhibitions requires a valid ticket.

Art Fund members receive 50% off ticket price for whichever ticket type is appropriate to the member.
In all cases, proof of status is required either at the time of purchase or prior to entry to the exhibition.
Selected paying exhibitions will have an Online Tickets option.
Please note that we do not issue electronic tickets. All Tickets purchased online will be delivered by post within 5 working days.
A postage and packing fee of £1.50 will be added to tickets purchased online.
Proof of eligibility for any concession, special offer or free tickets will be required on entrance to the exhibition.
National Art Pass (Art Fund)
Owners of a National Art Pass from the Art Fund can purchase tickets from the online shop at discounted rates. A National Art Pass will be required on entrance to the exhibition.
Membership applications and renewals
New memberships and renewals will be dispatched from the Membership Office within 7 working days of receipt of your order.
All Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Members will be contacted by mail and e-mail (if address is provided) in order to fulfill their Membership benefits, including the eBulletin. The National Galleries of Scotland may also contact you with information about news, exhibitions, events and other initiatives that may be of interest to you. You can unsubscribe at anytime by e-mailing email@example.com. We will not pass your details onto any third parties.
In order to take advantage of special promotions, the promotion code must be provided at the time of purchase in the promotion code box. Additional terms and conditions apply to specific promotions.
If you are giving Membership as a gift, please fill in the billing details as your own and the delivery details of the gift recipient. By providing the recipient’s details, address and e-mail address you are agreeing on their behalf to be contacted by the Membership Office and in order to fulfill the Membership benefits. The National Galleries of Scotland may also contact them with information about news, exhibitions, events and other initiatives that may be of interest to them. They can unsubscribe at anytime by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org. We will not pass any details onto any third parties.
If you would like the Membership sent to you rather than directly to the recipient please indicate this in the Gift Message box.
