This artwork is often referred to as the 'Skating Minister' of the Reverend Robert Walker on ice is one of the most iconic works of Scottish art, loved all over the world. Effortlessly he seems to glide across the ice.
This luxury hand designed wooden jigsaw, each piece is different and features a range of custom 'hero' pieces which have been designed to relate directly to the image - for example a piece in the shape of an ice skate. Each puzzle is made from a specially developed wooden board called Medite Premier, all taken from sustainable sources.
Sir Henry Raeburn a Scottish artist who spent some time in Italy but returned to Edinburgh in 1787 where he began painting portraits of the rich, famous and important people of his day. He was in constant demand and received many honours: in 1822 he was knighted when the King visited Edinburgh.
