Leaf pile – a garden for wildlife greeting card

Single greeting card with a beautiful image of ‘Leaf pile’ is a colourful drawing of a little hedgehog snuggled up in a leaf pile by Scottish illustrator Hannah Longmuir.  The flame-coloured fallen leaves of autumn provide food, shelter & bedding materials to a variety of wildlife, such as hedgehogs, toads & insects.  The leaves also compost over time into nutrients for the soil.  This is great news for every one of us untidy gardeners who let wind gather the leaves into piles.

This card is one of a collection of cards called ‘A Garden for Wildlife…’.  The cards are a tribute to Hannah Longmuir’s parents who were both excellent gardeners and created little wildlife havens in their gardens.  Every card sold from the collection will help to raise money for the ongoing work of the Macmillan Centre at our local hospital here in the Borders.

This card is designed, manufactured, and packaged by hand in the UK. They are printed on FSC approved card stock which means that it is sourced from sustainable mixed forests.

Each one comes with kraft envelope with a fabulous, coloured lining.
