Lapwings have the most distinctive flight-style. Their tumbling display marks the arrival of spring – their wobbles, zig zags, rolls and dives. They have slow wing beats but are the ultimate aerial acrobats. When they fly in a flock it’s a dense flickering of black and white. Alongside the drawing, the card has little hand-written notes about the fantastic lapwing.
This card is designed, manufactured, and packaged by hand in the UK. They are printed on FSC approved card stock which means that it is sourced from sustainable mixed forests.

Hannah Longmuir is a Scottish countryside artist based in the Scottish borders where she grew up. She works mainly in pencil and watercolour and records the details of the natural world around her. She aims to create calm, delicate drawings, carefully observed and full of character.
