Tiffany inspired dragonfly brass bookmark
Solid brass hand enamelled bookmark featuring a dragonfly designed by David Howell & Company.
The richly hued dragonfly was inspired by a Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933) lamp screen in a dragonfly shape, c.1910. This leaded glass screen hung from the finial over the lamp shade to provide an additional shield from the harsh light of early electrical light bulbs. In the collection of the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art, Winter Park, Florida.
For more than 30 years, David Howell & Company, inspired by the art world, have been adapting original and iconic works to design and manufacture modern and meaningful museum quality gifts.
