Peter Doig No Foreign Lands Exhibition Catalogue
Hilton Als, Stéphane Aquin, Keith Hartley
Peter Doig's first major exhibition in the country of his birth, No Foreign Lands showcases works created during the past ten years, much of which the artist spent in Trinidad. Often tropical in their subject matter, these are paintings of intense colour on a monumental scale.
This book is the first publication to examine in depth the conceptual underpinnings to Doig’s expansive output. Particular attention is given to discussing the importance of motifs, themes and variations in his work, drawing from in over 200 paintings and works on paper from the past thirteen years. Some of these are new works never before published.
This is a very high specification book, printed on 170g matt art paper, foil stamped clothcover and stamped dustjacket.
