John Patrick Byrne is a Scottish artist and playwright. He wrote The Slab Boys Trilogy, plays which explore working-class life in Scotland, and the TV dramas "Tutti Frutti" and "Your Cheatin' Heart". Byrne is also a painter, printmaker and theatre designer.
