Gino Zucchino by Alessi green sugar pourer
Iconic sugar pourer designed by Guido Venturini for Alessi in bright green. With his irresistible smile and large doe-eyes, Gino Zucchino is ever-present at breakfast time, just like an old friend, and brings heaps of fun (and sugar!) to the table.
Guido Venturini pioneered a design that speaks to the masses as well as experts and in the 1990s he created a successful series of items that included this anthropomorphic sugar castor, one of the most famous icons from the series.
Venturin was born at Alfonsine in 1957. Architect, designer and explorer in the field of industrial design, interior design and architecture. In 1985 he and Stefano Giovannoni founded the Bolidist group and set up King-Kong Productions. He has taught at Domus Academy and at Florence Faculty of Architecture. Music is his greatest passion and source of inspiration.
