Sculpture in bronze of Reverend Robert Walker (1755 - 1808) Skating on Duddingston Loch, about 1795 by Sir Henry Raeburn (1756 - 1823), better known as the Skating Minister, emblematic image of the Scottish National Gallery Collection, NG 2112, by renowned sculptor Alan Beattie Herriot.
Alan Beattie Herriot MRBS graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in 1974. Over the past few decades he has built an international reputation and is considered one of Scotland’s most successful figurative sculptors.
He has produced work for the major Heritage Conservation bodies, The National Trust for Scotland and Historic Scotland as well as for organisations and individuals in Britain and Ireland, Holland, France and Norway.
Produced as an edition of 100.
