Beautiful handmade fabric decoration of Sir James Macdonald based on the full length portrait in the National Galleries of Scotland Collection. This plush decoration is made in with intricate beading and embroidery work. The figure is shown with his rifle, wearing a red tartan jacket and matching trousers.
This fair trade decoration is produced by Saint Nicholas. For over 25 years Saint Nicholas have worked with a Christian charity in Thailand to help disadvantaged women find work in their community, today some 200 skilled women work at home sewing St Nicolas decorations, and many of them have been doing so for more than 10 years.
