The Thames & Hudson Dictionary of Photography is an extensive and comprehensive reference guide that collates the history, art and science of photography, with more than 1,200 entries and 300 photographs. An ambitious research project that provides veracity, reliability and accuracy.
Based on fresh scholarship by seventy-nine researchers from sixteen countries and compiled under the editorial direction of Nathalie Herschdorfer and in consultation with a panel of 150 international experts, developed around 10 years.
Nathalie Herschdorfer is the director of the Museum of Fine Arts Le Locle, Switzerland, and a curator with FEP (Foundation for the Exhibition of Photography). As an author and curator specialised in photography, she has written a number of books amongst which are Afterwards, The Thames & Hudson Dictionary of Photography, Coming into Fashion and reGeneration, all published by Thames & Hudson.
