Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art Print Room
The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art is home to around 4,000 works on paper including masterpieces by artists such as Beckmann, Freud, Kandinsky, Klimt, Matisse, Picasso and Pollock.
The collection has an international scope with a strong holding of British and Scottish art. It also contains photographs and a wide range of prints and drawings from the 1880s to the present day, with special reference to artists working in Scotland.
For closer study of works on paper not currently on display in the galleries, access can be provided in the Print Room, which is housed in Modern One.
The Print Room at Modern One will be temporarily closed from 1st August 2016 until further notice due to a major tansformational project. Part of this project will be a reconfiguration of our libraries and print rooms.
We hope to reopen in early 2017. In the meantime, we will continue to offer a limited remote enquiry service where possible.
