Dahlia Doll’s House greeting card
Single greeting card with front detail of Dahlia Doll’s House artwork by Kinship Press. Published by Canns Down Press.
A dollhouse is a toy home made in miniature for children. Since the early 20th century dollhouses have primarily been the domain of children. Dollhouses trace their history back about four hundred years to the baby house display cases of Europe, which showed idealized interiors. Early dollhouses were all handmade, but following the Industrial Revolution and World War II, they were increasingly mass-produced and more affordable. Dollhouses can range from simple boxes stacked together used as rooms for play, up to structures displayed in museums.
