Create something inspired by the word saidheans/science
Whatever excites you about the amazing world of saidheans (that's gaelic for 'science') you can make art about it. Whether it's the chemical reaction of mixing colours, launching your own rocket into space, inventing your own robot, or something nobody else has ever thought of, this challenge is about finding something that inspires you about saidheans and carrying out your own experiments to see what you can create.
Word challenge
Pupils from Bun-sgoil Taobh na Pàirce (Parkside Primary), Edinburgh have come up with a word to inspire you. This short video shows how they came up with the word saidheans (the Gaelic word for science). Taking this word as a starting point, use the How to grow ideas resource to think, wonder and create your own unique artwork. You might end up making something that looks nothing like the starting point.
Artists meet the challenge
Lewis Hou explores how we might use the word 'science' to make art.
