Your Art World

Soulisquoy Young Printmakers in Orkney created a picture to inspire you to get creative and make something of your own. It could be creative writing, video, audio, 2D or 3D art. Jump inside the picture and see where it takes your imagination...

What do you notice in the picture? How would you describe the shapes, symbols, colours? What do they remind you of? How many layers can you see? Try making your own layered art and have fun experimenting without planning what the result will look like!

Picture challenge

Soulisquoy Young Printmakers have come up with a picture to inspire you. This short video shows how they came up with the picture. Taking this picture as a starting point, use the How to grow ideas resource to think, wonder and create your own unique artwork. You might end up making something that looks nothing like the starting point.
