Pencil on paper

Ocean Roar depicts a view of the lively ever-changing sea. I mainly draw from imagination whilst taking some inspiration from beaches along the East Lothian coast. To convey the different tones in the sea, I angled each pencil in various different ways towards the paper to achieve the desired effect. I used this technique to make the darker colours within the sea. Ever since I was young, I have always felt fascinated by the sea and what it represents. That is why I like to represent it in my drawings.
