Derelict Hangs Obsidian was inspired by imagery from my dreams, which I regularly document. These records are then cut up and rearranged to create abstract, often unintelligible, prose. Derelict Hangs Obsidian is a collage of imagery generated by my subconscious mind during sleep, and the resulting reconstructed text, rendered in biro pen, on paper. My practice is predominantly informed by an interest in philosophy of mind, subjective anomalous experiences, and induced and accidental altered states.
