Hand Cut Paper

I am a papercut artist and printmaker. I’m interested in the urban landscape, architecture, and the effect of busy cities on human life. My papercut pieces are based on my photographs and are carved from one sheet of paper by hand – the delicate papercut stencil itself becoming a metaphor for the connection between people and the urban environment. I use this as a stencil to transfer the image onto a lino block. This can then be carved and printed from, giving me the opportunity to make limited edition prints of the images.
