Digital print on paper

We often hold on to things to reconnect with our memories. I tend to make that connection through my artistic method. I view it as a game in which I process images and collage them together to create new imagery on a blank canvas. The exercise of meticulously adding the various elements, allowing the picture to grow organically takes me back to my childhood colouring books, scrap binders and diaries. This particular piece is inspired by the drawings of Fernand Léger. I limited the rules of the ‘game’ by using only five colours.
