Pieces

Gallery and Precinct Attendant for 9 months

'I moved to Edinburgh from Madrid where I have worked as an Art Historian, Editor, Writer and Journalist. Currently I balance my role as a mother of two small children with being a Precinct Attendant for the National Galleries of Scotland. I enjoy Scottish, British and International art and the public. I really like being part of an international art institution similar to the ones I have worked already in my own country, and learning from colleagues, art professionals and visitors.

‘Pieces’ shows some of the treasures found on the precinct over the last three months: screws, nuts, caps, jewels, buttons, etc. Once lost, and forgotten, anything can have the opportunity of starting a new life, with a new meaning, purpose or function, and the chance to establish new relationships. If you get lost on a precinct outside an art gallery you might also become part a charismatic art piece!
