Orange in Catterline Winter from series Why did I dream of you last night?

Laura Feliu Lloberas, Image Licensing Assistant (previously Retail Supervisor) for 3 years

'Six years ago, I finished my degree in Criminology at Barcelona University. Inspired by forensic and anthropologic photography, I moved to Edinburgh and studied Photography graduating from Gray’s School of Art.

Most of my work is characterised by the use of colour. I use the camera to observe the world we live in, separating reality from fiction. I prefer working on film than
digital.

Being surrounded by art keeps me motivated. This specific artwork is influenced by Joan Eardley and her paintings in Catterline. After I saw her exhibition last year ('Joan Eardley: A Sense of Place') I went up to Aberdeenshire to produce and finish this series as a homage to her work and an exploration to Scottish landscape.

Working for the National Galleries of Scotland, every day is a new discovery - I often learn something new about a work of art, or come across an artist previously unknown to me.'
