'I have no background in art; however, I am a very keen amateur photographer, and enjoy taking images of animals and landscapes. I use a Canon G11 camera. My dog Skye is the subject of this photo. She is a 3-year-old Blue Staffordshire Bull terrier. She is a willing accomplice in my photographs.

I enjoy working for the National Galleries of Scotland as there is always an opportunity to learn new things about paintings and artists. I particularly enjoy photography exhibitions.'
