About

Enjoy our specially curated Ray Harryhausen: Titan of Cinema virtual exhibition experience from the comfort of your home.

Inside the experience

The virtual experience includes five specially created films, images and texts from the exhibition, and archive films and objects from Ray Harryhausen's life and work and 3D model videos. Your experience will also include access to a series of related, live online events created in close collaboration with the Ray and Diana Harryhausen Foundation. Details of the live events are to be confirmed soon. Users will be able to access all content in the experience until 20 February 2022. Each of the films explores a different facet of Harryhausen’s storied career:

  • The Early Years: King Kong and Inspiration
  • A Life in Objects
  • Bringing Imagination to Life
  • Dynamation: Movie making miracles (Coming Soon!)
  • Creatures of Legend

Get an exclusive look inside the exhibition and hear from family, friends and contemporaries, as well as just a few of the writers, animators and film makers who tell how Harryhausen and his work left an indelible mark on them.

Featuring interviews with Martine Beswick, Mark Caballero, Randy Cook, Barry Purves, Vanessa Harryhausen, Marshall Julius, Mark Millar, Caroline Munro, John Walsh and Seamus Walsh.
