Starting with a short talk in the Victorian Heroes and Heroines exhibition at the Portrait Gallery, our afternoon walk takes us to the northern New Town, Greenside and Calton Hill, as we explore Robert Louis Stevenson’s Edinburgh. With historian Alastair Learmont.
Please come dressed for the weather, and be ready and able to walk at a reasonable pace. Tours cover less than two miles of walking and are generally appropriate for all ages and fitness levels, but please use your best judgment. The tours will go on rain or shine. In cases of severely inclement weather on the day of the tour, the tour will remain in the gallery.
We recommend booking to avoid disappointment as spaces are limited to 15 places.
Please note: this is a repeat of the walking tour run in July 2018.
