About

Dr Tristram Hunt, Director of London’s Victoria and Albert Museum, will discuss how the museum’s founding commitment to design, education and industry continues to define it today. Tracing the V&A’s genesis from its Victorian roots, he will consider how its civic foundations – the national and the global – engendered a world-class collection which continues to lead the way in fields such as fashion, photography and rapid-response collecting. Setting out his vision for the future, including the museum’s upcoming developments in East London, he will use this cultural lens to consider the museum’s place in the world today.

We would also like to remind Friends that all blue badge parking has been suspended on the Mound Precinct.  We apologise for the inconvenience caused by this and please be assured that we aim to re-instate the bays as soon as possible.
