About

In this talk art historian, curator and author Anne Massey will investigate the parallel early careers of Pop Art pioneers Eduardo Paolozzi and Andy Warhol. Looking at their collage and print based ways of working, two contrasting visions will be revealed based on an admiration for the products of American popular culture. Massey will focus on events at London's ICA, which hosted Paolozzi's famous 'BUNK' lecture in 1952 and an early London showing of Warhol in 1963 as part of the 'Popular Image' exhibition.
