Renowned Edinburgh architect and author, Richard Murphy, has won 22 Royal Institute of British Architects design awards and the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland Doolan Prize in 2017. His new house on a gap site in the New Town of Edinburgh was chosen as the RIBA/ BBC House of the year 2016. Many of his award-winning projects have been arts projects: galleries, theatres and museums, including his latest projects, the Carnegie Library and Galleries in Dunfermline and Perth Theatre. Richard Murphy will discuss these projects and will explain the thinking behind the designs. He will also discuss his latest book, Carlo Scarpa and Castelvecchio Revisited.
