Printing Summer: Layered Monotype Workshop
Sat 2 & Sun 3 May 2020
10.30am - 4pm
A two-day workshop led by artist Kittie Jones, looking at ways of gathering information in sketchbooks in Princes Street Gardens before translating these drawings into a monochrome linocut design. You will spend time considering how to design an image before cutting and printing a plate. On the second day, time will be spent printing the design in different colours and considering how to add unique colour elements to the image through layers of monotype. All materials will be supplied.
We are currently working on improving our galleries. During this time some rooms will be closed and some facilities will be temporarily removed. There will be limited disabled access to some areas.
