In Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee year a selection of the finest paintings in the Royal Collection will be on display in the Queen’s Gallery, Holyroodhouse. 30 works by artists including Sir Peter Paul Rubens, Claude Lorrain, Artemesia Gentileschi and Sir Anthony van Dyck are in the exhibition as are four works by Rembrandt Van Rijn. The paintings are arranged by school beginning with a group of pictures created in Italy between 1530 and 1660; the Dutch Golden Age; Dutch and Flemish portraits and concludes with a series of landscape paintings. A short introductory talk will be given by an expert guide.
