We are delighted to offer private guided tours of Lennoxlove House. Once a Roman, then Medieval, stronghold, later additions were commissioned from influential architects from Bruce to Lorimer, and includes the earliest example of Palladianism in Scotland. A history of Scotland and its protagonists is told through its celebrated art collection, including paintings by Van Dyck, Raeburn, Lely and Kneller and artefacts from Mary Queen of Scots, Charles II and Napoleon. Lennoxlove House has been home to Mary Queen of Scots’ uncle, the Regent Arran, as well as serving as the Privy Council’s HQ, and as an RAF Satellite Station, when the 14th Duke was Commander of Scotland, and the seat of the Maitlands through their meteoric rise to power. Following the tour, you will have the opportunity to explore the historic park.
