Delve into the fascinating world of cinema, come face to face with famous actors and actresses and discuss your favourite films over cakes and a cuppa. This session will be a relaxed and informal guided tour with refreshments for anyone affected by dementia and their relatives, friends and supporters. Led by our team of friendly artists, it’s a chance to socialise, talk about artworks and enjoy art activities together.

The Portrait Gallery is located in the city centre near St Andrews Square. It is a 10 minute walk from the Scottish National Gallery and a 15 minute walk from the Royal Mile.
The Scottish National Portrait Gallery is a few minutes’ walk from Waverley Station. Take the Princes Street exit, cross the road and walk the short distance through St Andrew Square, turning left onto Queen Street.
Bus numbers 10, 11, 12, 16, 26 and 44 all go past the Scottish National Portrait Gallery. Alternatively, take any Princes Street or city centre bus, to the East end of Princes Street, opposite Waverley steps and walk through St Andrew Square, turning left onto Queen Street.
Follow routes for city centre and city centre attractions. There is no car park at the Gallery, and very limited on-street parking near the venue. We recommend that you park your car in one of the many city centre car parks instead, the nearest of which is the St James Quarter Car Park.
