Join us in the beautiful surroundings of Modern One as we explore a fascinating and eclectic selection of some of the most recent acquisitions of contemporary and modern art, from Salvador Dali to Jenny Saville. This session will be a relaxed and informal guided tour with refreshments for anyone affected by dementia and their relatives, friends and supporters. Led by our team of friendly artists, it’s a chance to socialise, talk about artworks and enjoy art activities together.

Parking for visitors is available at both Modern One and Modern Two. A donation is requested of £3 for up to 4 hours and £6 for 4-8 hours. Our payment meters have contactless capability.
The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art is located 15 minutes’ walk from Princes Street. It includes two buildings, Modern One and Modern Two, set in a beautiful sculpture park.

The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art is 15 minutes’ walk from Haymarket Station. Follow Palmerston Place down onto Belford Road and across the bridge. The Gallery is a short walk further along Belford Road.
Parking for visitors is available at both Modern One and Modern Two. £3 for up to 4 hours and £6 for 4-8 hours. Visitors should not park for more than 8 hours, and overnight parking is not permitted. Car parks open from 9.45am-5.30pm.
We have accessible parking spaces at both Modern One and Modern Two for blue badge holders. Parking is free for disabled visitors.
From the West End of Princes Street walk along Shandwick Place before turning right onto Palmerston Place. Follow Palmerston Place down onto Belford Road and across the bridge. The gallery is a short walk further along Belford Road.
