Sir Walter Scott is a towering figure in Scottish culture who enjoys a truly international reputation. In this talk Dr Patricia Allerston, Deputy Director, Scottish National Gallery, explores Scott's place in 19th-century Scottish art - and his many likenesses- via his bust by Sir Francis Chantrey. An influential sculptor in his own right, Chantrey also made an fascinating contribution to Scottish art history.
