Edinburgh New Town Walking Tour

  • Sunday 23 June, 2-4pm
£ 12.00

£ 10.00 (concessions)

About

Starting and finishing at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, Historian Alastair Learmont will lead a walk and talk around the New Town to celebrate the elegance of James Craig's vision. Starting with a brief talk in the Portrait Gallery, we continue with a guided walk to St Andrew Square, George Street and Charlotte Square. We visit Thistle Court and the oldest surviving buildings in the New Town before returning to the Portrait Gallery.

Please come dressed for the weather, and be ready and able to walk at a reasonable pace. Tours cover less than two miles of walking and are generally appropriate for all ages and fitness levels, but please use your best judgment. The tours will go on rain or shine. However, in cases of severely inclement weather on the day of the tour, the tour will remain in the gallery.

We recommend booking to avoid disappointment as spaces are limited to 15 places.

Please note this tour is a repeat of the tour run in 2017.
