Edinburgh Art Festival Keynote Lecture: Elmgreen & Dragset

The highlight of EAF opening weekend, artists Michael Elmgreen (b. 1961, Denmark) and Ingar Dragset (b. 1969, Norway) will speak about their practice as a collaborative duo. They have worked together since the mid 1990s drawing from disciplines as divergent as institutional critique, social politics, performance and architecture. Their sculptures and installations reconfigure the familiar with characteristic wit and subversive humour. Their work has been presented in art institutions and biennales worldwide, and the artists also curated the 15th Istanbul Biennial – a good neighbour (2017), and have a forthcoming exhibition in 2018 at Whitechapel Gallery, London.

Presented in partnership with British Council Scotland, Edinburgh College of Art, University of Edinburgh and National Galleries Scotland.
