- Thursday 20 January, 6-7pm
Booking essential
The Drawing Room examines the range of possibilities within contemporary drawing practice. Join artist Nancy Nightingale in a drawing session exploring tonal value and mark making. You will create your own desktop still life, with lighting as the main focus, constructing either a dramatic/cinematic scene, using strong contrast and shadows, or something flatter and more uniform. Participants will then be guided to make a rough key of five tones, each with their own texture, utilising these to build an image. There are no limits as to what material can be used.
You will need:
- A lamp/light source
- 3-5 found objects
- Desktop surface
- Sketchbook
- Drawing tool e.g. pencil/charcoal/pen/crayon/ink
A zoom link and password will be sent to ticketholders just before the session.
This session is for adults and is suitable for ages 12+.
