The Drawing Room examines the range of possibilities within contemporary drawing practice.

Arcana Stories: Artist Sophie McKay Knight will lead an imaginative drawing session based around Tarot card characters. Participants will visually explore - the Fool, the Magician and the High Priestess. No prior knowledge of, or belief in Tarot is required! Starting with a few quick exercises, Sophie will guide you through creating images inspired by these fascinating archetypes.

You will need:

• A photo of a person who inspires you - this can be anyone of any age - including yourself!
• A small item from nature - eg: flower, leaf, shell, twig, piece of fruit.
• White paper x 4 sheets, A4 size or smaller
• Any other sort of paper - this can be coloured paper, old magazine or newspaper, or tracing paper x 2 sheets any size
• glue stick
• Scissors
• Marker pen or felt tip pen
• Biro
• Pencil
• Rubber
• Any other dry media, such as chalk, pastel or charcoal.
• This session is for adults and is suitable for ages 12+.
