The Drawing Room explores the range of possibilities within contemporary drawing practice. Artist Paul Harfleet invites you to into his world of floral memorials, ornithology and drawing through his wide-ranging creative practice. The session will include a reading of his picture book, Pansy Boy, a brief introduction to The Pansy Project and a series of drawing tasks designed to unleash the potential of conceptual mark making to the sound of bird song. The session will end with an invitation to explore the potential of ‘gentle referencing’ a task intended to celebrate the world of birds.

You will need:

• A generous supply of paper
• A sharpened pencil or favourite drawing pen

This session is for adults and is suitable for ages 12+.
